Thanks for sharing another great piece. I'm mainly a handshake/fist bump kind of guy, but I will give close friends a hug. Even if I do give anybody a hug, I mostly stick with a half hug. That's as far as I usually take it. I'm a very shy person, so I rarely ask for hugs. To me, it just feels awkward asking for one. And it would feel a million times more awkward if I was asking "where's my hug." I'd rather a hug be consensual than transactional.
One of the greatest gifts of COVID has been that I don't have to hug and kiss men who arrive for meetings anymore!
